July 10-24 / Practice Retreat and Chamber Music Festival
Özcan Ulucan, Ellen Jewett and Orhan Ahıskal; violin Çetin Aydar and Burcu Tunca; viola Şölen Dikener and Ozan Tunca; cello Birsen Ulucan and Özgür Aydın; piano This is an intense and highly structured workshop created for serious classical performers. Students can explore new ideas and repertoire, discover different practice methods and meet like-minded students from all around Turkey and abroad. All the participants will have the chance to perform at least one solo work, one chamber music work and will perform together with faculty in the KK Festival Orchestra. In addition, students will participate in: *Daily scale and technique classes *Daily private lessons or group classes on solo repertoire *Supervised practice with assistants *Regular chamber music coachings *Sight-reading “Jam Sessions” *Rehearsals with KK Festival Orchestra playing with faculty *Optional: Improvisation classes Eligibilty: violinists, violists, cellists and pianists ages of all ages Required: A 10-minute MP3 Scholarships will be given on the basis of need and talent.
