Performance Academy

Performance Academy is an intensive program for serious instrumentalists on the Art of Performing, and is designed to offer opportunities for young performers to develop the diversity of skills necessary for a 21st century performing career.  Special focus will be given to the formation of performers’ interpretation of a piece of music using tools such as historical awareness, attention to style, investigation of harmony and structure, and communication to an audience. There will be numerous performing opportunities for all participants. The main repertoire for this course will be chamber music, but participants will also have a chance to perform solo repertoire in masterclass settings and will perform side by side with faculty.

Program will include:
- Daily chamber music coaching
- Masterclasses and private lessons for solo repertoire
- Technique classes
- Seminars in baroque performance practice
- Seminars on interactive performance with electronics
- Sight-reading parties and improvisational jam sessions
- Training and preparation for outreach programs for the local Cappadocia community

 Dates: The Performance Academy will be divided into two sessions and participants can apply for both weeks or choose one session:
1st session: August 2-9
2nd session: August 9-16

(The arrival date for the dorms and other accommodation for the first session is  August 1st and the departure dates is August 9th, the arrival for the second session is August 9th and departure date August 16th).

Admission Fee:  170 Euro for only one session
                                   280 Euro for both sessions

Notice of Acceptance given: June 8, 2015
Applications will continue to be accepted after this deadline 
until the course is full.
